Well, I suppose a new post is overdue. So here I am. Posting....

On Friday the quiz rally is at our church, and Mrs. Weaver said that if we take all three team trophies, she'll take us out to Coldstone! But like that's gonna happen. Nobody's been studying, and practices have been sooo lame! I remember the days where we jump like two or three words into the question, and the quiz masters had to tell us to slow down. Now we hear the whole question and miss the five second time limit to jump! Yuck. Well, there's a silver lining to everything, I guess. I'll get to see Fishy and Vanessa, and chill till midnight with everypeoples.

I've started ripping music illegally again. You know, like, borrow a CD from the library or a friend, rip it onto your computer, put it on your mp3 player, then return the CDs. My sister's all, "Emily, stop breaking the law! It's BAD!!!" Idk if it's bad or not. I mean, it's not like I'm gonna put the artists out of business by ripping their music. And even Charlie does it, who's a PK! So what's the big deal?

On that note, here's what I've been listening to: Foreigner. LOTS OF FOREIGNER. And yesterday I got CDs from Moby, Lifehouse, and U2. Anybody else listen to these guys? "You and Me" is one of the most overplayed radio singles ever, but I still love it. And "Honey" from Moby is just so...right. Well, back to school. Yuck.

Saturday was so much fun!!! Between wiping out into it most of the time, eating it when I fly off my tube, and eating it just because it tastes good, snow is very nice. And it's also very nice to listen to Aerosmith and Foreigner for like 4 hours. Have I even ever asked you guys what music you listen to? I think I know what Danna listens to: Celtic, country, and a few classic rock artists. Am I right? And Beth listens to...um...Phantom of the Opera? Lord of the Rings music? Other movie scores? You'll have to clue me in on that. And Ethan...not sure at all what you listen to. I listen to almost EVERYTHING, except for country, death metal, and classical. But I can just as easily lose myself in Journey as I can Jack Johnson!

Other than the fun I had on Saturday, my life has been pretty drab the past couple days. Well, not to me, but nothing has happened that you guys would care to hear about. Maybe I'll make you suffer through it anyways! So here's 10 that happened this weekend that I liked:

1. the mountain trip with my friends, obviously
2. not paying for my snacks at the ski lodge, or my lunch on Sunday (thank you Robbie!)
3. rocking out to AMAZING music. "Dream on! DREAM ON!!!"
4. getting maybe a few questions right at quiz practice. But I know I can do better.
5. wearing snow pants at church. Yes, I like that, something wrong with that?
6. walking through the rain with Robbie. Even though I was completely soaked afterwards.
7. playing Animal Crossing. Some things never get old.
8. getting major compliments on the chipotle turkey sandwich I made.
9. eating Doritos. Live the flavor.
10. holding my kitty cat. Maggie's so sweet...even though she's a fat lard now!

So was that boring to death? It's hard for me to post interesting blogs on here, because mostly the only people (or person?) who read this weren't there to experience all this joy with me. I wish you were, so you could comprehend how blessed I am! God has given me so much to be thankful for, and life is beautiful right now. So just take this time to thank the Lord for all the blessings in your life that you experienced over the weekend. I know that at least one beautiful thing happened to you, no matter how insignificant it might seem.

XOXO,
Emily

I had an AWESOME birthday party!!!! I had 17 people here, and they all brought me presents...even though I told them not to. But it was sweet of them. I got some cuh-razy cool earrings and Robbie gave me this gorgeous pin that'ss a cursive E. And I'm gonna be soooo buzzed because I got a TON of Starbucks and other coffee places gift cards!!!!

Next Saturday we're all going to the mountain to go tubing in the snow! That'll be fun. I just hope I don't look like a total idiot by slipping and sliding down to my...doom. Or whatever.

The Superbowl Party was a blast too! We played hide-and-seek in the whole neighborhood and I was so glad that my friends didn't watch the game.

A-jay's visiting in August!!! For anybody who doesn't know, Anjeannette is my older sister who lives in Louisiana. And she said that she's bringing the kids this time!

Oh, yes, I almost forgot. Today's my birthday!!!! And Daddy gave me a sansa MP3 player!!!!! woohoo, I'm excited! Sixteen is truly sweeeet. And Dad said that I'm going to driver's school when we get an automatic car, so I can really learn to RULE THE ROAD. Look out, pedestrians!

Things about myself that I learned this week:

1. I'm getting better at talking to people on the phone. I spent like an hour talking to Michelle and Marinda last night on the telly-phonio, and I really enjoyed it!

2. Don't ever dance at parties. Let the guys do it, because if a girl starts to do it, it gets a little...edgy.

3. I can't play basketball to save my life. I always knew it, but Robbie persuaded me into trying on Wednesday. It was such an easy shot, but I threw an airball anyway. Embarrassing.

4. I'm dependent on friends! I didn't realize until recently that my whole life revolves around my friends, and I get soooo mopey and sad without them, or if I have to leave a party or something.

5. Give people the benefit of the doubt. When I met my friend Paul, I automatically thought he was just some geek. Now I realize that he's actually really fun to talk to. When I met Jordan P., I thought he was just some jerk who wanted attention. Now he's really nice and cool.

Well, I'm gonna rip my CD's onto WMP now so I can download them onto my new sansa!!!
